The arbitrated layer
Active mappings — what's decided.
The database's verified mappings, tiered by confidence — active (settled), provisional (near-certified), candidate (weaker), and rejected (a real mapping that fell below the active gate — still a real correspondence, just low-confidence). Every tier is a real English→Vietnamese morpheme mapping. The same arbitration also runs scoped by signature and in reverse (Vietnamese → English).
Mappings by confidence — active: the dominant realisation passed the gate; provisional: strong but under-certified; candidate: a real sense-family member, still thin; rejected: a real correspondence that fell below the active gate — still a mapping, just low-confidence. Metrics: fit = composite fit index, fwd = forward fit P(v|e), n = supporting words. Drawn live from the English–Vietnamese Analytical Mapping database.
